Why have you shown three “deadline” dates?
When the 75-home planning application was first displayed on TVBC’s website, the closing date for public comments was 12 Dec 2025. The closing date for the Parish Council was only 4 Dec 2025 - a very short time in which to respond. Cllr Sue Larcombe asked for, and was granted, an extension for CPC to 12 Jan 2026. Initially it was thought that this would also apply to personal responses, but when Cllr Larcombe checked with the TVBC Planning Case Officer she was told that, technically, the date for personal was still 12 Dec 2025. However, the Case Officer has now confirmed that TVBC will accept personal responses right up until the “determination deadline” which is 11 Feb 2026, as has been the case for other planning applications. In our village, this happened for the applications at Test Valley Farm, and the two homes that were built at the property formerly known as Fenstanton. Added to all of this, the Parish Council is understandably concerned to have as many public responses as possible, and therefore advise residents to get their replies in before the Christmas hiatus.
