TVBC Planners are now writing up their decision on James Painter’s 75-home application. The deadline for making public comments has passed. A great majority of responses from the public have been against the proposal:

  • 252 members of the public have responded to the planning application. Of these, 245 live in Chilbolton
  • Of the respondents, 247 object to the proposal, of these 22 say they support the 20 to 25 home proposal in Chilbolton's Neighbourhood Development Plan
  • 4 people say they support the proposal
  • 1 response is neutral
  • Of the 456 households in Chilbolton, 172 have responded, overwhelmingly against the proposal
  • There have been responses from 23 streets in the Village
(Analysis done when the total document count for the planning application was 323, of which 272 were public comments and 21 were from consultees)
