Chilbolton Parish council will hold its Annual Parish Assembly on Monday 27 April 2026 at 7:00pm in the Village Hall.

There are two major topics: work being done by the Pan-Parish River Pollution Forum to protect the River Test for future generations; and an update on how the Parish Council will respond to the 75-home planning application, including the hydrologist’s report they commissioned. Residents will have the chance to ask questions, and put forward their views.

A long Parish Council Meeting covered both Gravel Hill and the 75-home proposal. Throughout the meeting, questions were raised by Councillors and residents over the need for, and the siting of any 25-home development.

Bizarrely, this even extended to the probity of Councillors and what their wives are doing.

At a Cherish Chilbolton open coffee morning yesterday, residents were asking what is happening with the proposed 75 home development. They also suggested that the Parish Council should hold a public meeting to update and keep residents informed.

Candidates have been announced for the Test Valley Central Division of Hampshire County Council, which includes Chilbolton.

Cllr David Drew, Conservative, has represented this Division since 2021.

Cherish Chilbolton are holding an informal coffee morning this coming Saturday, 11 Apr 2026, between 10:00am and midday.

They’re keen to hear ideas for what the Village can do to prevent over-development in Chilbolton.
