The Village of Wherwell held its annual Open Gardens afternoon, boasting exceptional displays of roses.

Chilbolton Parish Council’s Community Development Committee is to propose a public meeting, towards the end of June, to outline their plans for a development of some 20 homes at Gravel Hill.

Chilbolton Parish Council has alerted TVBC to its concerns, shared with Chilbolton Observatory, over the effect of the planned 75-home development.

Next Saturday 23 May 2026 from 2pm onwards, David Hall and his family will be hosting a celebration of his wife Denise, who passed away in February.

They held a private, family cremation, followed by drinks at the Abbots Mitre. It was her wish, though, that a larger celebration should be held for their many friends.

At the Annual Parish Meeting, Chilbolton Parish Council reviews its policies and procedures, confirms terms of reference for its committees and appoints Councillors to them.

As first order of business, Cllr David Hall was re-elected as Chair, and Cllr Neil Connor was elected as Vice Chair.
