The smell isn't mushroom compost
Tim McDonnell sets the record straight on what's causing the smell:
The applicant claims the extant sewage smell is due to a mushroom farm. This is not the smell I [endure] on a daily basis - human waste and excess groundwater in a sewage system riddled with leaks and lacking critical capacity. Said farm uses compost which in 2023 was subject to specific odour management measures. The applicant assumes adding 75 homes and 300 people will be managed and offers NO evidence, no management measures and indicates known sewage issues are the result of a mushroom farm. This is supposition without evidence and a desperate attempt to ignore real planning concerns by residents.
