Cart Lane flooding

I have lived in Cart Lane for 44 years next to Poplar Cottage, a pretty listed thatched cottage. This is not far from the proposed development area. The cottage was bought by a small developer who lived in it whilst applying for planning permission to build a house in its large garden. The house was eventually built and sold as well as the cottage. The following winter Poplar cottage, now without its large garden, was completely flooded. It has now been all repaired but has a c.8 foot covered well in the middle of the lounge complete with an automatic water pump. Meanwhile my front lawn adjacent to the cottage, for the first time in c.c.30 years was flooded to a depth of 2 feet for months and was kept from the house by an automatic water pump dug into the lawn
