Over-provision

I understand the need for more houses for people in the UK and more locally. What is proposed here though is not what is needed. Several surveys have been commissioned which show that social housing and smaller properties for single people and retirees are required here. It is in the developers interest to build larger houses to reap the financial benefits as these properties go for exorbitant prices in Chilbolton and are only available to a small percentage of the population. Whilst I welcome some social and affordable housing, what is proposed vastly exceeds the identified need in the village. Building them where they are not needed makes no sense and will not solve the housing crisis
