A tale of two developments
Zach Nicholl observes inconsistency in how two development proposals have been treated:
It is important to raise a matter of fairness and consistency, which has caused deep concern among long-standing residents. A local man - whose proposal sought approval for 10 houses, later reduced to 5 - was, in my view, strongly opposed and heavily scrutinised by the parish, largely on the grounds of traffic, scale, and suitability. Yet the same voices now appear unusually supportive - or at least far less critical - of a proposal for 75 houses, which is vastly larger and far more impactful. This dramatic shift in attitude has created a strong perception within the community that the two proposals have been treated very differently
