Barn Owls
Anna Pillar has seen Barn Owls breeding at the proposed development site:
My first concern regarding the housing development is the impact on local wildlife and biodiversity that building on the proposed site will have. There are a number of nesting barn owls in the shed situated on the site of development which have bred successfully and raised a clutch of young over the last 12 months, as you will be aware Barn Owls are a protected species under schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 making it illegal to disturb a barn owl at or near a breeding site
