Sewage, pollution and run-off
Sophie Hurford summarises the risks that the new development poses:
We already have significant issues with our sewage and waste water and a new development would put a massive pressure on this already overwhelmed system. We have had tankers removing waste water 24 hours a day for months at a time and our current system would not cope. Any plans to improve this situation run the risk of failure and further pollution of the river Test. It is very likely to have a considerable impact on the current village residents. I would also worry that the surface water run-off could increasing the flood risk to nearby parts of the village in particular the proposed cycle path to Cart Lane down a hill
