News: High praise for the Abbots Mitre
“This Hampshire country pub might just have the best burgers in the county”.
An article in the Andover Advertiser and the Hampshire Chronicle gives our local pub, the Abbots Mitre, a four and a half star rating.
Reporter Charles Elliman had a Cajun chicken burger followed by sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. He also remarks on the traditional feel of the pub and how easy it was to park.
In his article, he jokingly claims that Chilbolton is twinned with Derry, Maine. This is of course the fictional town that is the setting for several Stephen King novels.
