News: How CPC will prepare its response to TVBC's housing consultation

Having advised Chilbolton residents on how they can make a comment on TVBC’s plan to build 65 homes in the village between 2025 and 2042, the Parish Council have now mapped out the process for creating their own response to the proposals.

Residents’ views

One part of informing that response will be to take into account what Chilbolton residents think. If you have made a comment to TVBC and you would be willing to share it with the Parish Council, they are asking you to email it to:

CPC Planning Committee

At their meeting on 21 Jul 2025 at 6:00pm in Chilbolton Village Hall, the Planning Committee will discuss their initial thoughts on what CPC’s response will include. This is a public meeting, open to anyone who wishes to attend.

A first draft of the response will be discussed at the Planning Committee meeting on 4 Aug 2025 at 6pm in the Village Hall.

The Planning Committee will also produce a two-page summary of the potential impact of the draft Local Plan on Chilbolton.

Public Meeting

There will be a public meeting, provisionally booked for 21 Aug 2025. This will be a presentation of the proposed response.

Parish Council Meeting sign-off

After this the Parish Council will have further time to deliberate any final changes at their meeting on 1 Sep 2025 at 6:30pm in the Village Hall. The response will be lodged with TVBC before the deadline of noon on 5 Sep 2025.
