News: Would you like to be a Parish Councillor?
Following the resignation of Cllr Julian Hudson, Test Valley Borough Council have confirmed to CPC that they have not received a request for an election to be held. Therefore the Parish Council plan to co-opt a new Councillor.
Could that be you?
If you see yourself as a Councillor you should first read the personal attributes and experience needed. Essentially these ask that a new Councillor has skills to bring to the Council, can work well with Councillors and residents, and is willing to take on projects.
Most Council meetings are held in the evening, so being available then is important.
When you’ve satisfied yourself that you qualify, ask the Clerk for an application form.
The form must be returned by 31 Jan 2026. Parish Councillors will consider applications at their meeting on 2 Feb 2026 at 6pm in the Village Hall.
