News: Transport on Demand

The old bus service running through Chilbolton was cancelled at the end of April 2025. A new “Transport on Demand” service has been established. You can simply ring up or use their mobile phone application and a one-way fare costs no more than £5.50.

The service uses minibuses branded “Connect - Transport on Demand”, covering four zones, centred on Andover. You can use the buses between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday excluding Bank Holidays, but the journey must be completed by 7pm. The service covers the postcodes SP10, SP11 and SO20 6, and is wheelchair accessible.

The phone line - 0333 015 1271 - is open 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You can also download an app to your phone. Single fares range from £2 to £5.50, but up to two children, up to five years old travel free with one fare-paying passenger. Journeys are shared with other passengers travelling in the same direction at the same time.

Unfortunately you can’t use bus passes on the Transport on Demand minibuses.

Chilbolton is in Zone 4 - designated by pink - and passengers can be picked up and dropped off at existing bus stops.
