News: Test Valley Farm - Residents Group lobbies planning committee

In preparation for TVBC’s Northern Area Planning Committee meeting, Cllr David Hall has circulated a letter which makes the Chilbolton Residents Group’s case.

In it he describes how Test Valley Farm “has been the subject of significant controversy”. He reminds them that villagers voted overwhelmingly to return it “to the previous settlement boundary.

He also references Chilbolton’s Neighbourhood Development Plan and how the plans before them at their meeting “contradict its spirit”. Finally he rejects any accusations of NIMBYism, saying

Chilbolton residents want community-led development to meet the needs of local people - not more spacious Executive homes, unaffordable for local people and with inadequate access and infrastructure.
