Reports on Chilbolton Parish Council meetings from January 2025 onwards.

Last night’s Parish Council meeting was dominated by thirteen recommendations from Locum Clerk, Tom Brindley. The topics ranged from shutting down Community Development Committee meetings to buying new accounting software, including an “Allotment module”,

For at least a decade, and according to one former Parish Councillor, longer than that, two agenda items have graced the bottom of every Council meeting agenda: “Correspondence” and “Questions from the Public”.

At next Monday’s meeting, that tradition ends.

Chilbolton Parish Council’s Extraordinary Meeting last night boasted a 14-item agenda. They didn’t even make it to item 3 before the meeting was abruptly adjourned.

A recently-found SWG document suggests that a plan for a 64-home development near Eastman’s Field existed as early as August 2024, and that some Parish Council members discussed it with Test Valley Borough Council planners.
