Test Valley Farm

Test Valley Farm is a plot of land in Chilbolton, bordering on West Down. It was controversially moved inside the village settlement boundary. Latterly a planning application to build five homes on the site has attracted over 200 objections from residents. In a referendum of villagers, 95% said that the site should be moved back out of the settlement boundary.

In a unanimous vote last night, Test Valley Councillors on the Northern Area Planning Committee approved the plans for building five homes at Test Valley Farm in Chilbolton.

In preparation for TVBC’s Northern Area Planning Committee meeting, Cllr David Hall has circulated a letter which makes the Chilbolton Residents Group’s case.

The Northern Area Planning Committee will be discussing the proposed Test Valley Farm development tomorrow. The meeting starts at 5:30pm. Test Valley Farm is second on the agenda.

Test Valley Borough Council planning officer Emma Jones has recommended that the Northern Area Planning Committee approve the development of five houses at Test Valley Farm in Chilbolton. The controversial planning application will be discussed at the TVBC planning committee meeting on 13 Mar 2025.
