Southern Water has announced that they are ending the hosepipe ban. They said “Thank you for following the hosepipe ban. You’ve helped save millions of litres of water. We’re pleased to let you know that the ban has been lifted”.

Test Valley Borough Council has announced that there will be a by-election in Chilbolton for the two vacant places on the Parish Council.

Three candidates have been nominated.

There will be a planned power cut in Chilbolton on Wednesday 15 October 2025 lasting from 09:00 until 16:00. The Village Shop will be shut that day, and the Abbots Mitre will be closed until 4pm.

Seeing that Southern Water had closed a small section of road near Stocks Green, concerned that this might herald further problems with sewerage, chilbolton.news went to investigate.

At the Parish Council Meeting last Monday, residents of Chilbolton were invited to consider the question “Are we reasonable?”
