A number of trees were felled this week by contractors working for Alfred Homes, the developers of houses approved in 2025 at Test Valley Farm.

A planning proposal which was objected to by Chilbolton Parish Council, and was refused by Test Valley Borough Council planning officers, has now been appealed by agents for the developer.

After a period of distraction caused by the proposed 75-home development, Chilbolton Parish Council’s Community Development Committee returned to issues at the forefront of many residents’ concerns - Village infrastructure.

At the Community Development Committee last night, Cllr David Hall revealed that the Church Commissioners are actively investigating land at the corner of Gravel Hill and Martins Lane for the development of 10 to 12 affordable homes.
