The last two open meetings the Parish Council held were widely praised for their openness and free-flowing nature. Last night, surprisingly, a return to a presentation-style format with a solid agenda proved even more successful and productive.

After some shaky moments in previous meetings, Chilbolton Parish Councillors last night had set aside their differences and found themselves in a new and carefully choreographed agreement.

This year will mark the tenth anniversary of Nicky Bond taking over what was the Village Shop and Post Office. chilbolton.news took the chance to have a chat with her and check out how things are going.

A meeting, ostensibly to discuss a 25 to 50-year vision for Chilbolton, turned into a debate on how we handle inadequate infrastructure. However it opened with a surprise.

Cllr Sue Larcombe made good on her promise at the last Parish Council meeting. She has withdrawn her registration of interest for a self-build plot in Chilbolton.
