At the first of the Parish Council’s “informal” meetings, Martin Gossling outlined plans for a charitable community land trust which would own the planned 10 affordable homes. Villagers though, were keener on knowing what was inside the planning pre-application that had been sent to Test Valley Borough Council.

CPC promises greater transparency

Tony Ewer, Chair of Chilbolton Parish Council (CPC), has promised greater transparency in material from the Strategy Working Group (SWG). Reports that had been made to Parish Council meetings would be added to the SWG’s new page online. He also proposed topic-based discussion groups on the proposed housing development in the Village Hall.

SWG publishes answers - 90 to 120 homes planned

In a follow-up to the village meeting on 5 December the Parish Council’s Strategy Working Group have published a response to questions asked by residents. In it they reveal that the “current estimate” of the expected size of the whole development “is between 90-120 homes, depending on the precise layout”.
