64-home development revealed in SWG documents from 2024

A recently-found SWG document suggests that a plan for a 64-home development near Eastman’s Field existed as early as August 2024, and that some Parish Council members discussed it with Test Valley Borough Council planners.

James Painter to submit planning application for 25 homes

In a letter to Cllr Julian Hudson, Chair of Chilbolton Parish Council, James Painter, who owns the land next to the Village Hall and Drove Road, has revealed that he intends to submit “an outline planning application for part of this land with details of the first 25 homes”.

Residents confront Parish Councillors over 25-home development

It was billed as a presentation of the Parish Council’s response to TVBC’s proposal that 65 homes be built in Chilbolton over the next seven years. But the meeting pitted Parish Councillors against a tough audience of around 80 residents who were eager to talk about CPC’s own 25-home development.
