At a Cherish Chilbolton open coffee morning yesterday, residents were asking what is happening with the proposed 75 home development. They also suggested that the Parish Council should hold a public meeting to update and keep residents informed.

Candidates have been announced for the Test Valley Central Division of Hampshire County Council, which includes Chilbolton.

Cllr David Drew, Conservative, has represented this Division since 2021.

Cherish Chilbolton are holding an informal coffee morning this coming Saturday, 11 Apr 2026, between 10:00am and midday.

They’re keen to hear ideas for what the Village can do to prevent over-development in Chilbolton.

A well-supported litter pick covered two main routes into Chilbolton today: Martins Lane and Coley Lane.

Two squads were deployed, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Test Valley Borough Council planners have granted a further extension to James Painter before they consider his proposed 75-home development.

Responding to a query from Chilbolton’s Cllr Debbie Collis, Senior Planning Officer Emma Jones has confirmed that they have agreed an extension with Mr Painter until 12 May 2026.
